A few weeks ago I was asked by Tristan Roscoe, the current Ottawa Flash Platform Usergroup manager to help him with organising this monthly meeting; to spread the word and get some proper content.

The next meetup is June 3rd at the Adobe building on Preston Street. I urge anyone that works with Flash in any way to attend; It’s a great way to network and learn about the industry. So go register for it right away!

Today was the first meeting of the flash/flex usergroup for Ottawa.  I completely forgot to write about this to get more people to come out.

We were a little under 20 that went, which is surprising since there was 250 Flexers that showed up at the Adobe Flash Camp a month prior.  Good news is that they were giving 10 FITC tickets, so the odds were good. I actually didn’t win, but a fellow Flexer said he already got his ticket so he gave me the one that he won; thanks Glen!

With that being said, I strongly suggest anyone in the flash/flex community (or even people just studying or interested) to come join us the first Wednesday of the next month (May  6th) for some free beer, some good presentations (including yours truely) and free gear.
